I am thoroughly enjoying the Devils slow start! Bring on the Oilers already!

Oilers game does worry me somewhat. Neal might have balanced their top 6 just enough to where they are a formidable threat. Along with Mcd and Dras, I'm a little worried about our rooks on D.

and the Oilers are playing constantly while Rangers will obviously be rusty

Oilers finally look like they will be a team to be reckoned with this year

For this game, I can't argue with that. I'm still on the bandwagon that with all the new pieces, the extra practice time between games in probably a good thing. Rather have more games after we mesh than before it.

As good as Panarin and Zib have looked, we kinda have to admit the first two games we were somewhat a one line team. That has to be corrected over the course of the season.

Jan I hope you are wrong about the Rangers wanting to be aggressive at the trade deadline. There is no need to be. Unless we are trading Staal or Smith the Rangers should sit tight and let the prospects they have develop. We arent winning the Cup this year so lets keep our prospects and picks and concentrate on the future.

As the way things currently stand, you would presume that Chytil and Kravtsov will be the most challenged to reach those bonuses

Obviously they weren't playing well enough to earn roster spots. On the other hand bonus money against the cap, and not expecting to really compete, might have had a small part as to why they were sent down.

Recycles tin foil hat.

This is actually a pretty reasonable take. What is your thought on what's "too aggressive"? I know in a prior thread I brought up Pageau that's someone who could traded. Would you mind taking him on at the deadline as an audition for the 2C knowing he's a UFA at the end of the year in terms of possible resigning him?

if the Rangers are in a playoff spot at the deadline I have no problem with them doing something to solidify the team

I wouldn't want to trade our first rounder, but other picks and some lesser prospects would be ok

it's such a pie on the sky thought at this point, I just wanna play tomorrow

TPC might not like this, but if Kreids doesn't click on the 2nd line he is definitely gone at the TDL... maybe earlier

Good luck this weekend, I'm glad I bridged the gap. A bit sad I'm probably dropping Zucc today, man that whole team has been awful.

That's actually why I brought up Pageau, I don't think he will be given away, but I don't see how Ottawa gets a 1st for him. He's also someone that as guys develop, I'd have no problems moving down the lineup as I don't think he's getting a monster contract. He's someone I could see here for a few years, and if they aren't stupid in giving a NMC could easily be left unprotected.

I'm with you, it's been a long time that the team has left us wanting more Rangers hockey, but here we are. Exciting times.

No way they are trading their first round pick unless we are in a real competitive spot, which is highly unlikely.

also remains to be seen what they do about Kreider

but I think after missing playoffs two years in a row and Knicks an absolute abomination, MSG would love some playoff dates

I want to know how this conversation went: "Hello sir, would you mind if I cornholed your animals? Mine is a bit on the mend"

Wish someone would have captured the second blank stare of the farmers until they got pissed of at the question.

A bit high brow. More like,"HEY! Ya mind if I (frank) that purdy sheep over there? Got my own boots."
